Infection control is a critical aspect of healthcare settings, as it helps prevent the spread of pathogens that could lead to hospital-acquired infections (HAIs). Infection control and hospital-acquired infections remain a major challenge in healthcare, as HAIs often complicate patient recovery and increase healthcare costs. Strict infection control measures, including hand hygiene, sterilization of equipment, and the use of personal protective equipment, are essential in preventing the transmission of pathogens in hospitals. Surveillance systems that monitor infection rates and antibiotic use are also vital in identifying emerging resistance patterns. Through effective infection control strategies, the incidence of hospital-acquired infections can be significantly reduced, ensuring safer patient environments.
