Blood infectious diseases are caused by
blood-borne pathogens like Bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites that can infect our bloodstream. Bacteria can enter through wounds or travel to your blood from another infection such as pneumonia or urinary tract infection. Viruses such as influenza virus, dengue virus, hepatitis B virus, poliovirus, and HIV and parasites like plasmodium and trypanosome brucei can also invade your bloodstream.
