Biography:
Dan Erdman and Ashley Smith are both incoming fourthyear medical students from St. George’s University who completed that Internal Medicine Core rotation this past year at Larkin Community Hospital. Eager to learn more about the complexities of the intensive care unit (ICU), they both worked with diverse patient populations with long-term complications from various surgical cases. With the help of the ICU medical team, they diligently worked to assess the development of Acinetobacter Baumannii Hospital Acquired Pneumonia and develop a case report to better understand its development, treatment options, and complex medical outcomes.
