Biography:
Tauqeer Mustafa is a seasoned public health and development expert with nearly two decades of leadership in health systems strengthening, emergency response, and large-scale public health programming in Pakistan and South Asia. His thematic expertise is Clinical Engagement, Antimicrobial Stewardship and Antimicrobial Use. A graduate of the prestigious Karolinska Institutet (Sweden) in Public Health, he has been at the forefront of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and rational drug use efforts in Pakistan since the early 2000s. His portfolio includes collaboration with major donors such as the EU, DFID, USAID, AusAID, and UN agencies. Currently, he serves with the Fleming Fund, leading AMR-related initiatives in both human and animal health, and acts as a Technical Expert for the International Vaccine Institute for the South Asia region.
